Massage is a wonderful way to relax and rejuvenate the body, and an effective method for relieving stress held in the body. When the body experiences stress, it can store that stress as tension in the body. You may experience this as discomfort, pain, reduced range of motion, or just general tenseness. Massage has been shown to be beneficial, with lasting impact, in several scientific studies, and is beginning to be incorporated as a complimentary treatment to many types of injuries and illnesses – from sports injuries to cancer.
